My dad will be 66 years old in October. He gave up smoking about 4 weeks ago after 40+ years. He was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 weeks later. Sorry if that sounded dramatic, but I’ve written and rewritten it about 10 times and have given up trying to make it sound any other way. - Well, that was fun! 3

I’m happy to be home and making the most of being in bed (i.e. watching trash, eating trash) and then I get a week of sickness and bloody diarrhea! Well, not literally “bloody” … - “You might feel a bit of a prick … “ 6

The lurgy is in town. A head cold - sore throat, blocked sinuses, sneezing, coughing etc. - is making its way around N’s family. The people who have succumbed so far (named in relation to N) include: a nephew, a brother-in-law, a sister, another brother-in-law, another sister, her mum (who’s elderly and is now being looked after at our house) and now N herself. Un-super.
