You may have noticed that this site will squash and stretch with the browser window as you alter its width - from a minimum of 750 pixels up to a maximum of 1390. But did you notice some of the larger images changing size, too? - Highlight your own comments in Movable Type

I’ve seen this on a few sites in the past: in the list of comments, the site author’s own comments are formatted differently, usually by a different background colour to everyone else. - Highlight current page in Movable Type using CSS

I wanted to be able to tell a user which page they were reading (just incase the title didn’t give it away … ) and, of course, I wanted to do it using CSS. - Stripey tables using CSS and PHP

I like it when alternate rows in a table are formatted differently - it makes it easier to scan your eyes along a row without losing which row you’re actually reading. The rows don’t have to be vastly different (at least not for someone with semi-decent eyesight) and a good example of this is iTunes.
